Hence, they begin to realize that they are the observers of these thoughts and not the thoughts themselves.

Aside from disassociation, hypnotherapists also use reframing. This technique is crucial for people who want to achieve weight loss by hypnosis. Usually, when you associate yourself with your thoughts, you also believe them. So when you say discouraging things to yourself your mind tends to believe what you are telling it. Reframing is a way of viewing and experiencing events, ideas, concepts and emotions to find more positive alternatives.

So when picking a hypnotherapist, you want to be careful to choose one with experience, reliability and professionalism. Also, please remember that this method of weight loss is not recommended for those with epilepsy, serious psychological disorders or post-traumatic stress disorder. And as always, you should consult a physician before starting any type of weight loss plan.
